In Aetas Diagnostics’ privacy policy, you can read about how we handle your personal and health information and on what basis this is done. In addition, the privacy policy provides information on which special rights you have as a registered user in relation to the processing of your personal and health information.

Aetas Diagnostics is a private clinic and laboratory company. We carry out longevity treatments and advanced molecular analysis of both private individuals, companies as well as for the public health sector.

What is your personal and health information used for?

Aetas Diagnostics obtains and processes personal and health information from individuals as part of our diagnostic, prognostic, clinical, scientific tasks, as well as our sales and marketing efforts. Personal and health information about individuals will therefore be processed when they contact us or become a customer of Aetas Diagnostics.
The following policy applies to the processing of personal and health information that takes place in connection with the Aetas Diagnostics website, the performance of biological analyses, treatments as well as any inquiries addressed to Aetas Diagnostics.
When processing personal and health information that takes place in other systems for which Aetas Diagnostics is the data controller, please refer to the separate information texts.
When you as a private person or company visit the Aetas Diagnostics website, cookies are used for statistical purposes in order to create an overview of how many visitors there are on the website and which parts of the website are visited.
Aetas diagnostics processes personal data about you in connection with inquiries and in connection with diagnostic tasks, treatments and other health services that concern you or your company.
When you write to us, or enter into an agreement to carry out diagnostics and biological analyses, your inquiry and your personal and health information will be registered in our electronic case and document management system and electronic health record system. You will also receive electronic correspondence from us in the form of emails. If you wish to unsubscribe from newsletters, you can always do so by clicking “unsubscribe” in the bottom of the email.
When you buy treatments and analysis from Aetas Diagnostics, information will be collected in the form of name, address, contact information and CPR number, as well as information about the specific inquiry, diagnosis and treatment, your biological and genetic data information. We process and store this information securely and encrypted according to GDPR regulations, the Danish Health Act and the Record-keeping Order. We will retrieve medical information about our clients for our assessments. This means that our medical staff will access and retrieve your medical records.
When you become a client of Aetas Diagnostics, an encrypted electronic health record gets created and stored on our servers with your data in it. We use the data in it for our precision analysis, so we can provide the best possible clinical health advice tailored to you. The pool of your data, our other clients data, large-scale population and clinical databases makes this possible. It allows us to do real-time scientific research, and translate that into evidence-based and easily-understandable personal health recommendations for you. When you become a client of Aetas Diagnostics, you agree that your medical data will accessed, obtained and used for scientific research, and in the clinical practice, to provide best treatment options for you and our other clients.

Legal basis

The legal basis for the processing of your information in connection with the newsletter follows from the data protection regulation, article 6, subsection 1, letter a - consent.
The legal basis for the processing of your information in connection with the necessary collection of data for carrying out biological analyses follows from the data protection regulation, article 6, subsection 1, letter f - legitimate interest in carrying out biological analyses, in documenting correct handling of process and compliance with legislation, scientific research, and clinical practice as a legitimate interest in providing you with a test result, interpretation and health advice.
The legal basis for the processing of your information in connection with the patient record follows from the data protection regulation, article 6, subsection 6(1)(c) - legal obligation and 9(2 9(2)(h) - medical diagnosis and treatment, Consent as described in the Health Act, §15(1) and the Record-keeping Order, §15(1).
The legal basis for the processing of your information in connection with the transfer of data to the Danish public healthcare system, and Agency for Patient Safety and the Statens Serum Institut follows from the data protection regulation article 6(1)(c) - legal obligation and 9(2)(i) public interest in the field of public health.

For processing based on consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent, but this will not affect the processing that has already taken place before withdrawal of consent.

Categories of personal and health information

Regarding general personal data in connection with inquiries, Aetas Diagnostics will process your name, contact details and the personal data you provide in the inquiry.
Special personal data (health information) in connection with the performance of biological analyses, Aetas Diagnostics will process your name, email and the personal and health information necessary for the performance of the biological analysis, including address, CPR number, and relevant health information, including the result of your test(s), biological data, infection status and genetic data.
For all genetic analysis, separate consent agreement are always obtained.

Are there other recipients of your information?

Aetas Diagnostics transfers health data to your treating physician, and the public health record system. The data will be limited to only the personal and health information that is necessary and required as part of the correct performance of our specific clinical and diagnostic tasks for you or your company.
In addition, Aetas Diagnostics transfers information to our external data processors which host our clinical and scientific software, anonymised analysis results and data for scientific research, as well as for external quality control.
Patients' genetic data is never shared with anyone else without their consent. It is your data and you decide what happens with it.

How long we store your information

Aetas Diagnostics only stores and processes your personal and health information as long as it is necessary and required in relation to the stated purposes. In some areas, there is also a statutory deadline for how long personal and health information must be stored. In those cases, a decision has been made by law, as to how long there is a purpose for storing and processing the personal and health information. When the purpose of the processing is no longer present, your personal and health information will be deleted, anonymized or transferred to an archive in accordance with the rules in archive legislation.

You’re data is safe with us

When we receive your information at Aetas Diagnostics, we take the necessary measures to ensure that it is processed securely. We have implemented a number of technical and organizational security measures which protect against accidental or illegal destruction as well as loss or deterioration of information. In addition, measures have been taken to ensure that your information does not come into the possession of unauthorized persons, and is not misused or otherwise processed in violation of the data protection regulation. Please note that sending regular email to Aetas Diagnostics is not encrypted. Please use mit.dk or other encrypted mail if you want to send personal health information to us.

Your rights

You have a number of rights in relation to the processing of your personal and health information by Aetas Diagnostics. These include:

You should be aware that there are exceptions to these rights, which is why you will not always be able to make use of all your rights.
